ShoeGurukul brings together several resources related to the footwear industry, including a Footwear Glossary, Industry Directory, Experts Talk, Events & Fairs, Buy & Sell listings, articles and other educational and industry resources. The platform continues to evolve, with additional resources and features being introduced over time.
The ShoeGurukul Footwear Glossary is a growing collection of footwear terms and their explanations. It covers terminology relating to footwear components, materials, construction, manufacturing, design, testing, technology and other areas of the footwear industry. Where useful, glossary entries also include pictures or visual references to make the terms easier to understand.
Yes. ShoeGurukul welcomes suggestions for footwear terms that are not yet included in the Footwear Glossary. You can submit a footwear term along with its definition, explanation and, where you have the necessary rights, a relevant image or visual reference through our Suggest a Glossary Term page.
We particularly welcome regional and industry-specific terminology. Many footwear terms are commonly used in a particular country, region or manufacturing centre but may not be familiar to people elsewhere. Documenting such terminology can help make footwear knowledge more accessible to the global footwear community.
The ShoeGurukul Industry Directory is a structured directory of organisations and businesses associated with the footwear industry. It is designed to help visitors discover manufacturers, suppliers, service providers, brands, organisations and other businesses connected with footwear.
The Directory is organised into different groups, segments and activities to make it easier to find relevant organisations.
Organisations can submit their details through the List Your Organisation section of ShoeGurukul. The listing form allows organisations to provide relevant information such as their organisation name, category, segment, activities and location.
After submission, the information may be reviewed before being published in the Directory.
Experts Talk is a section where experienced professionals and experts from the footwear industry can share their knowledge, views, experience and opinions on topics related to footwear.

Yes. If you would like to contribute your knowledge and expertise to ShoeGurukul, you can express your interest in becoming a contributor. Visit any topic in the Experts Talk section and, on the topic detail page, you will find a Become a Contributor link in the right-hand column. Click the link and submit your name and email address. We will review your details and contact you to discuss the contribution and the next steps.

Yes. We welcome suggestions for topics that you would like to learn more about from professionals and experts in the footwear industry.
To suggest a topic, visit any topic in the Experts Talk section. On the topic detail page, you will find the Suggest a Topic link in the right-hand column, above the Become a Contributor option. Submit the topic you would like an expert to address.
You may also email your suggested topic to admin@shoegurukul.com. When we receive a suitable topic, we may share it with an expert or professional associated with that subject and invite them to share their views or expertise on the topic.
The Events & Fairs section provides information about footwear and related industry events, including exhibitions, trade fairs, conferences, seminars and other industry gatherings.
Event information may change, so visitors should always verify important details directly with the event organiser or through the official event website before making travel, registration or other arrangements.
The Buy & Sell section is planned to provide an opportunity for members of the footwear industry to post or discover offers relating to footwear materials, machinery, equipment, components, stock lots, inventory and other industry-related items.
